This has been a good week as far as reading is concerned. I had a few days off from work and was able to finish these books.
The Steep: Coco Chai from Natur’el Tea – a delicious rooibos with dark chocolate and spices like cardamom, cinnamon, ginger goodness in liquid form
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman: I’ve read all his books (except one) and about midway through, you feel a connection & empathy for the characters. For me, it took too long to unravel & wasn’t his best. The book is Backman’s classic style, a slow unraveling of the backgrounds of the characters, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great for me.
- Steep Rating: OK, but no re-steep for this book.
I Tried To Change So You Don’t Have To By Loni Love: I didn’t know much about Loni Love outside of her being a comedian and a co-host on a talk show called The Real.
- Steep Rating: Funny. Re-steep some of her life lessons & share.
The Office: The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s: An Oral History by Andy Greene: That’s what she said.Save Bandit! Parkour. If you know the show you know what I’m talking about.
- Steep Rating: Enjoyed this oral history of one of my favorite TV shows.
Make Me Rain: Poems & Prose by Nikki Giovanni: Am I the only person who thinks about how author’s I love become my relatives? J. California Cooper, she’s my auntie too, I’ve been saying that forever.
- Steep Rating: Steep & Repeat. Multiple Steeps to have with my new Auntie Nikki.
Which books would you like to read? Or have you read any of these?
Very cool video – that looks delicious. I like this review format!
