The Classics Club – Spin List (#19)

The spin list contains 20 books selected from my classics club TBR. With this spin, the moderators have presented the challenge of selecting some LONGER classics and to read by January 31 2019.

Since I have plans for a longer read for December through January, I’m hoping the spin number will correspond to the book I have planned. But if it doesn’t and the spin number corresponds to a shorter book on my list, I’m going to challenge myself to read a second book from my spin list; a win-win situation for reading more from my classics club TBR!

Spin List

  1. Sula – Toni Morrison
  2. How Green Was My Valley – Richard Llewellyn
  3. The Bluest Eye – Toni Morrison

  5. Invisible Man – Ralph Ellison

    1. I had a hard time picking titles for this spin especially since I have plans to read some of my longer ones later. So I tried to mix the list with female authors and male authors too! But I’m excited about the spin number.

  1. I see you got Sula? I just wanted to stop in and tell you that it’s a lovely, brutal, poetic book, full of human gruesomeness as well as gentleness, & I hope you enjoy it. ❤

    1. I’ve been meaning to read this for so long so I’m really glad it was picked. I’m planning to read another Morrison too, just need to decide which, one for December and one for January
